The dinner was promoted by Roma Capitale, Department of Cultural policies and City Historical Center, Cultural Commission and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Superintendency PSAE and Museum Center City of Rome; among the participants Ecclesiastical Authorities as Cardinale Tarcisio Bertone and Cardinale Giovanni Lajolo, leading personality of politics as the President of Cultural Commission of Roma Capitale Federico Mollicone, the Assessor for Culture Dino Gasperini and the Major of Rome Gianni Alemanno and representatives of entrepreneurship.
“ La Girandola” may be considered like one of the most exclusive events of the Roman Summer 2011, as it reproduces one of the most complex and bold architectures that have ever been created in pyrotechnic history”.

The smoke devices, the exposition of over 30 Ferrari, the video wall, the balloon rainfall containing winning fiches, the numberless screens reproducing live the evolution of the evening conducted by Nadia Bengala, former Miss Italia, made the most intriguing choreography.

The event took place the Carnival’s last celebrating day, the same of Women’s Day.
The Great Ball, entitled “Woman, Diva, Divine” was dedicate to her.
“Studio 13” did the artists make up, while as Maurizio Varamo, Director of the set of the Opera Theatre, provided their costumes as well as those of the hostesses and the general setting.
Various masks arrived from 20.30: Plutone e Proserpina, Ginevra e Re Artù, Rodolfo Valentino, Apollo; Rea Silva and Marte, a beautiful Pirat and a Goddess of the Sea… received by the two De Blasi sisters, responsible of the organization : Federica was a delightful Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Maria Sole a gorgeous Wanda Osiris.
The Ambassador and his wife meanwhile, waited for their guests in the lounges like two ideal Angelica and Tancredi of Gattopardo.
Not all men had chosen to dress up, perhaps in honor of the celebration dedicated to Women.
The Criminologist Francesco Bruno, Austria’s Ambassador, the film director Enrico Castiglione and others wore elegant dinner jackets.
The menu recalled the culinary values of the countries involved in the Gran Gala, had been chosen: Rome and Lazio, Viareggio and Tuscany and Switzerland, the hosting nation. Among culinary specialties there were creations of high level; croissant with Bassiano ham and sweet provola, baguette with Gruyère and zucchini, polenta croutons with mushrooms, water and flour “Cavatelli Cacio e Pepe”.
Among the cakes: Sacher, Mont Blanc, “Zuppa Inglese” and “ Cannonata”.
The evening ended with fireworks in the marvelous terrace of the Embassy.

The project aims on one hand, to facilitate the entrance and the maintenance of workplace of disadvantaged subjects ( mainly with difficulties in conciliating work and life), on the other hand grant the employment levels for workers with obsolete professional profiles, not aligned with demands, also by promoting new entrepreneurship courses.
The project was at it’s first introduction in Rome on the 24th of February at the Selene Hotel in Pomezia , not far from Roma Eur.
